What would happen if you focused a beam of sound at a quartz crystal?Would the crystal generate another sound?
Has this experiment been done? What frequencies were used?
Don't know squat about physics but my guess is that the crystal will generate a voltage in response to the sound vibrations.
When I was USCG we used "sound powered phones"....
No batteries....no power supply.
Same principal.
