Pocket Knives: Finding the one that is right for you
There are hundreds of name brand pocket knives and thousands of different styles. Lots of people would like to get one but sometime don't know where to start. The 1st thing you want to consider is what you want the knife for? Is it for work, play, recreation, hobby or hunting.
If you are looking to get one for work, most utility knives can be very useful. Typically you wouldn't really want one with a sheath. This can get in the way, be bulky and can be a little inconvenient having to clasp and unclasp it as well as pulling it out each time. Hunting knives and survival knives can a lot of times be the same. Most of these will have a sheath for your protection. Usually you can put it on your belt so you don't have to worry about carrying it around. Survival knives as of late have become increasingly popular. They are great for hunters. Besides that, when you are camping, you can use survival knives for a variety of uses. Who doesn't like carving a walking stick around the fire, cutting rope and opening things.
